The Commissioner
Steynsrus Police
Dear Captain
COMPLAINT AGAINST AO
ERASMUS
Just to enlight you on my background, I'm a 74 year old
woman who can barely walk and living alone in my house. Due to previous
attempted burglaries at night while I was alone at home, my grandson gave me an
Alsation to protect me.
Just because this dog barked a few times at the girlfriend
of AO Erasmus, he had my dog removed by the SPCA on 19 December 2011. When the
SPCA re-opened after the festive season, me and another member of the public
phoned mr du Plessis of the SPCA and he told both of us that the dog was
removed because of a complaint from the Steynsrus Police that this dog jumps
over 6 feet walls and that two people were bitten. I've told mr du Plessis that
I'm not aware that this dog has ever bitten anybody and that I don't have any 6
feet walls. The dog was then returned to me on 17 January 2012.
In the mean time I've inquired at the Steynsrus Police if
any complaints were made about my dog or any insident that two people were
bitten. The inquiry revealed that no complaints were received. If that is true
it means that AO Erasmus has used or rather abused his status as police officer
and also lied to the SPCA to get my dog removed. That will also explain why AO
Erasmus had met with mr du Plessis at his home (in uniform) and not at the
police station, prior to the removal of my dog.
I'm very prone to believe that AO Erasmus has abused his
status as an officer of the law, especially after I've witnessed on Sunday 22
January 2012 how he sweared at a 76 year old man and then brutally throw that
man in the back of the van. That all happened in front of my house and I
witnessed everything from my kitchen window. That old man was at my house an
hour after the so called arrest and I can testify that the poor old man had
several injuries caused by the attack of AO Erasmus. This police officer has
become a threat to the community and should be behind bars.
I'll never trust AO Erasmus again and when I listen to all
the complaints by members of this community against this police officer, I'll
gladly sign any petition to get rid of him.
I'll appreciate it if you'll acknowledge receipt of this
document.
Yours truly
Susan Coetzee
